Our featured Shining Saddle Sister is
Cathy Polley of Northwestern PA.

Cathy, better known to her local Saddle Sisters as "Polleyrosa", has a great horse named "Spirit".
He is a 13yr. old, black, Tennessee Walker that also loves to go trail riding.
"Spirit" has such a wonderful demeanor that Cathy began taking him to work with her numerous
years ago. "Spirit's" gift is his abillty to give...what ever it is that an individual is needing.
"Spirit" can provide a gentle touch, a kind eye, the smell of a horse, the reminder of days gone by,
the soft feel of his muzzle or warm breath, and the accepting presence of a gentle giant.
Cathy has said that the residents of the home just love to have him come visit. The looks on their
faces and the gleam in their eyes is powerful and moving. She is proud to say that "Spirit" is
now a Registered Therapy Horse. Cathy will be hauling him to different locations as time permits.
Cathy has worked at a local Nursing home for over 25 years.   After numerous years of being the
office manger, she recently accepted a promotion.   Currently, she manages several area nursing
home offices. Aside from her job, Cathy has many hobbies and interest. Like most horsewomen,
there are other animals at her home. Together with her husband Rod, they designed and built their
beautiful home.   It is filled with great hand made quilts and canned foods from their own garden.
